On Friday, 19.11. is produced in Germany short film comedy / afk started after a release event in World of Warcraft on the YouTube servers. In the first 48 hours have seen more than 50,000 people, the history of the online-addicted Piet (Martin Schnürch) and his dream to kill a dragon - even against strong opposition of his therapist (Eva Mock).
/ afk is an innovative blend of conventional film shot scenes - filmed on the camera system, which was at The Social Network for use - and scenes in World of Warcraft were shot, like the South Park episode Make Love Not Warcraft.
The film was directed by the Düsseldorf and author Benjamin Dressler and a team of German
produced and international filmmakers. Here, the real scenes with the actors Martin
Schnürch and Eve were turned into mockery of Germany, the virtual
scenes were shot in international co-production. First film festival in the U.S. have / afk
already been invited.
